‘No greenlight’ for Chelsea transfer move yet but clarification expected this weekend

There is yet to be a greenlight given for one big Chelsea transfer deal to go through, however, the expectation is that clarification will arrive this weekend.

Chelsea are working on a number of transfer deals right now and today will see the confirmation of one other deal.

EXCLUSIVE! Antonio Conte wants ANOTHER Chelsea player as well as Romelu Lukaku – could be key for Victor Osimhen to Chelsea! 👀

Andrey Santos will rejoin Strasbourg on loan for the season from Chelsea, in a move that already takes up one of Chelsea’s foreign loan spots.

And after Santos, another midfielder is expected to be leaving Chelsea very soon as well.

We are of course talking about England international Conor Gallagher, who has yet to even return to Cobham or join Chelsea’s American pre-season tour camp, signalling it looks like the end for him and Chelsea.

Gallagher has been at Chelsea since a very young child, coming up through the academy ranks at the club. But his time looks set to be over.

Atletico agree deal to sign Gallagher

As per above and multiple other reports in the last day or two, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have agreed a fee for Gallagher to head to La Liga this season on a permanent transfer. However, both clubs are now just waiting on the green light for Gallagher to say yes to the move and again as above, Gallagher has yet to give that.

The confirmation on that is expected to come either way this weekend, but it sounds like it may well be all systems go for Gallagher and the Spanish side.
