Today has seen a glut of Chelsea news, with players both coming and going.
While two are expected at the training ground today to take their medical, they won’t be crossing over with the group who have been banned from the first team facilities as the club try to force them into a move away.
That group includes Romelu Lukaku, Trevoh Chalobah Armando Broja, and David Fofana.
Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on the situation claims that all three are “expected to leave Chelsea this summer.”
Lukaku has agreed a three year contract with Napoli, and Chelsea just have to agree on a transfer fee with the Italians now.
Fofana, Broja and Chalobah are going to be more difficult it seems. There have been whispers of interest in all 3, but nothing at all concrete in the last few weeks.
One might have expected David Fofana to get a loan this summer as he still has a chance to improve his value (and has barely played for the Blues yet) but Romano’s Tweet makes it very clear his will be a permanent move too.

Plan for permanent transfer for all of them as Lukaku has agreed on three year deal with Napoli.

A flurry of outgoings incoming for Blues
They aren’t the only ones who need to go – there are still around 42 players in the first team squad and that needs to drop to 35 or 26 at most. So there will have to be several tranches of this size, including loan moves, before we get the squad to a reasonable size.
At a rough guess, we’ll get about €20m for each of these guys, meaning that all 4 sales combined will bring in €80m and chop a lot of wages off the books. That’s clearly the priority of the sporting directors right now.
Potentially the sums could be a lot higher – Chalobah alone should be worth €40m or more, but the sporting directors have obliterated their bargaining position by leaving him off the US tour.
CFC board and the management are disgrace. How could they treat Trevoh like that? Right now he is the best CB when compare to the likes of Badhiasdile, Disasi, Fofana and Tosin who were shacky throughout the pre season games
Ain’t that the truth. Only looking for profit…we have become a sad money driven club
