Rio Ferdinand is on TNT Sport today covering Man U’s game with Brighton, but they didn’t hesitate to get his take on the Raheem Sterling farrago at Chelsea.
The winger put out a statement after being left out of the squad last weekend, causing some controversy. But Ferdinand was clear: “I would have done that.”
The fact that Sterling’s shirt number was stripped from him “before he was even out of the door” is also raised once again as an illustration of the lack of respect being shown.
