Jose Mourinho is famous for his “mind games,” although the anecdotes we’ve heard about them tend to have been repeated so often that we’re tired of them.
So it was great to have Gary Cahill go on Jon Obi Mikel’s podcast this week to tell us a fresh one. This was in Jose’s less lionized second spell at the club, when a young Harry Kane was emerging.
A key moment in his explosion into the scene was his double against Chelsea in January 2015. Cahill explained how Jose used this defeat to motivate him for the Carabao Cup final a month later.
