“Lost the ball too often” – Chelsea player gets negative review and rating via local media

One Chelsea player has just received a very negative review from local media after a recent performance that saw him get hooked at half time.

Chelsea have signed many players in recent seasons, so naturally some of them are not going to be ready yet, and some of them have needed to go out on loan.

Lesley Ugochukwu looks like a decent player, but he also looks very raw.

He played for Chelsea last season, but this season the club made the decision to send the young midfielder out on loan. He actually got a very good loan move in the end, going to new Premier League side Southampton.

He has had a couple of good performances already this season, but his most recent one is one to forget.

Ugochukwu has had a bump in the road

Bournemouth beat The Saints 3-1 in the Premier League yesterday, and the on loan Chelsea player got taken off at half time after a rough 45 minutes.

The local media were not too impressed either. The Southern Daily Echo wrote: “Lesley Ugochukwu – A frustrating first half performance, having looked bright in the early moments. Lost the ball too often and should have done better for Bournemouth’s opener. He was beaten too easily by Semenyo for their third. Hooked at half-time.”

They rated him as a 4/10 for his performance, which is very poor.

There will be ups and downs as with any young player, but he has also shown signs of quality this season. Let’s hope this doesn’t knock him too much and sees him losing his place in the team.
