One Chelsea player has reportedly pulled out of the latest round of international matches that are set to take place.
Yes, we are in yet another international break, as frustrating as that is. And it just means that the players will be having to play more games and train more, and have an increased risk of injury whilst out representing their countries.
Exclusive: Chelsea keen to pull player from international duty this week!
However, Chelsea look like they are going to be taking a wise decision with one of their players by pulling him out of international duty, something we are seeing more and more of purely because there are just so many of these international breaks now.
Chelsea have decided to not take any risks with one player though and keep him in London to rest and recover, even though there does not appear to be an injury as such.
Fofana not playing for France
Defender Wesley Fofana was called up for the latest French national squad, however, he will not be going or playing now and has pulled out.
That is according to reliable French reporter for RMC Sport, Fabrice Hawkins, who posted his updates on X just recently.
Hawkins reports that despite his excellent performance at the weekend against Arsenal, the Fofana has an inflammation of the knee, which can be down to overuse and isn’t a direct injury as such.
He then went on to confirm that Fofana will not be involved in the international games due to Chelsea not wanting to take any risks.
This is good news for The Blues for sure. It’s great that Fofana will be staying at Chelsea which will then take away any chances of him getting any further injuries.
We need to be extra careful with Fofana because he was out for the entire season last season.
