Chelsea player says Arsenal are “still a great team” ahead of facing them later today

Chelsea play against Arsenal later this afternoon in their next Premier League game in what is always a hard fought London derby.

Over the years it is Chelsea who have often been on top and been the most successful of the two teams. But in recent seasons, it is Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who have actually been doing much better than Chelsea, as the aforementioned went through an ownership change and a massive transitional period at the club.

EXCLUSIVE! Agents are touting a couple of big name Chelsea players to other clubs!

At this moment in time, Chelsea are ahead of Arsenal in the league, but we are only ten games in and there is a long season ahead. But many are believing that Chelsea might finally be back this season and will be challenging with many of the big sides at the top. Time will tell if they can keep up this good start to the season they have had.

Many teams are stuttering though, especially Manchester City who have just lost their last four games on the bounce; the first time that manager Pep Guardiola has ever done that in his career as a coach. Incredible.

Madueke ready for today

Blues winger Noni Madueke has been speaking ahead of the Arsenal game in words cited by The Daily Mail.

He said on Arsenal:

‘They’re still a great team and they’ve challenged for the title for the last couple of years. But in terms of us, we are just going to prepare for this as we do any other match.

‘There’s always a little bit of bragging rights with the boys but I’m going into Sunday trying to win for sure, so are my team-mates.

‘It’s just like any other Premier League fixture but there’s always that added rivalry when you play with them for the national team as well.

‘Whenever we don’t win, we are always frustrated and Manchester United was exactly the same – we have to try and win those games. We also dropped points against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.’
