There has been confirmation this morning of one big story this week that we were all expecting to happen very soon, and it’s now happened.
Super Frank Lampard has been out of a job since he was interim manager back at Chelsea. He has seemingly been biding his time and waiting for the right position to pop up. And now it seems that the right position is here, and he’s taken it.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea stepping up pursuit of Premier League striker – not Evan Ferguson!
Lampard has been officially confirmed as the new Coventry manager just a couple of hours ago with official correspondence from the club on their socials.
It’s a big move for Lampard and one that I feel will be very good for him to make, dropping down a division and starting again in the Championship. He is at a crucial stage with his coaching career and really needs to start getting a bit more success now if he is to really push on as a manager.
Lampard could turn to Chelsea for help
As reported by SPTC this week, Lampard is likely to turn to Chelsea in order to perhaps sign a few of their players, whether on loan or permanent.
The report, which actually comes from my own main site via our own info.
Sources have also heard that Lampard is expected to still try and negotiate a couple of players from Chelsea at some point, if he gets the role, whether that will be for January or the summer.
This source has mentioned Josh Acheampong, Tyrique George, and Marc Guiu as some potential names to watch. At this point we do not know what kind of deals they would attempt, but it’s most likely loans and of course, they wouldn’t be able to take all three in one window, or even two. But these are just some names Lampard likes, as we have now had confirmed from sources.
