Outlet updates on five Arsenal players who have been doubts to face Chelsea on Sunday

One outlet has put out some of the latest injury updates for Arsenal and Chelsea as they prepare to face up against each other on Sunday.

The Blues welcome London rivals Arsenal to Stamford Bridge for the next Premier League match on Sunday evening. It seems right now that Chelsea only ever play on Sundays these days!

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea pick main candidate for new full back transfer pursuit!

That is of course because we are forced to regularly play on a Thursday night being in the Europa Conference League – this gives Arsenal an advantage already by having an extra days rest that Chelsea. However, Enzo Maresca has been very smart to combat this issue for Chelsea by using two completely different starting line-ups for the league and for cup competitions.

Chelsea face Noah this evening in the Conference League, and we are more than likely to see a second string starting Xl named by the Italian coach so they can rest the key players who will start against Arsenal on Sunday.

Injury news

Martin Odegaard in training today.
Martin Odegaard will be back available for Chelsea

London World are reporting that there was a boost for Arsenal in their Champions League visit to Inter Milan on Wednesday night as Martin Odegaard was named on the bench at the San Siro. He was not introduced but was spotted warming up on the touchline as he returned to full training earlier in the week. However, Declan Rice was absent after picking up a foot injury against Newcastle last weekend.

Speaking earlier this week, Arteta said: “Declan unfortunately has picked up an injury against Newcastle. He was able to finish the game but he wasn’t feeling good in the last few days so we have to assess him on Thursday to understand whether he will be fit or not for the weekend. It was a knock so it’s a problem with his foot. He wasn’t comfortable with it so at the moment he’s not fit.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), Kieran Tierney (hamstring) and Riccardo Calafiori (knee) have all been absent in recent games, with the former two players facing longer-term injury problems.

Chelsea will be without Jadon Sancho who took a knock this week, but will have a full squad to pick from other than that amongst those registered to play in this competition.

  1. I do not know why Arteta is always playing the players in wrong position. Thomas is not at all a defender. And Gabriel Jesus is not winger rather to play him in forward position.
    He must change that attitude.
