Arsenal legend names the two new signings Chelsea need to become complete

One former Arsenal legend has this week made some great points on what Chelsea need to make them the complete team.

I mean, when you look at the Premier League table right now some might argue that Chelsea are already there or there about. But the reality is, they aren’t quite there yet.

EXCLUSIVE! Liverpool and Manchester City register interest in Chelsea fan favourite!

They still need to sign, in my opinion at least, three new signings in three different positions to be able to really elevate themselves consistently to be back at the top again.

For me, those positions should be a new goalkeeper, a new centre back, and a new striker. I’m unsure what type of striker we need yet whether that will be to challenge Nicolas Jackson or play ahead of him. But we certainly still need to sign another out and out number 9 profile so we have a different option up top, a more traditional style striker.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright almost agrees with me.

What has Wrighty said?

Ian Wright speaks on Chelsea

Despite a good season to date, Wright believes Chelsea need to sign two more players to go to “the next level”.

Wright said on his own podcast:“A goalkeeper and an experienced centre-half takes them to the next level. I think they’re only missing a good goalkeeper and an experienced centre-half.

“I think the goalkeeper has it in him to drop some points. But Chelsea can just continue as they are, no one is expecting it from then, so we will see what Chelsea and Enzo Maresca are made of later in the season.

“If they get an experienced guy in the dressing room, they are right amongst it. I keep saying it but watch this space with Chelsea.”

He’s spot on with the experienced centre back by the way, that is badly needed.
