An exclusive report is claiming that Brighton are attempting to snatch a new signing from under the noses of Chelsea this transfer window.
Brighton and Chelsea have done a lot of business together in recent years, and Chelsea even took a manager of them in the shape of Graham Potter. But there have been some other high profile deals such as Moises Caicedo from Brighton to Chelsea recently, and also Marc Cucurella made that same move some short time ago.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea make club and agent contact to sign new defender THIS MONTH!!
The clubs seem to like to deal with each other, and they also seem to like a lot of the same players. And in this story, they are both in to the same player once again as their scouts bring a potential new defender to the table.
Arsenal are also being credited with a club who are interested in the same player as well, but it is Brighton who are pushing the most right now apparently to get ahead of the two London clubs.
Brighton open Reis talks
TBR Football reports that Brighton & Hove Albion are attempting to pip Arsenal and Chelsea to the signing of Brazilian centre-back Vitor Reis.
Arsenal and Chelsea want Reis, claim the publication, but they have both previously been told that they must wait until after the FIFA Club World Cup this year.
They claim that 18-year-old Reis is widely considered one of the best young defenders in South America right now.
So you can see why three of the top Premier League clubs are seemingly trying to get him in, although it looks like it is Brighton who are pushing the most right now to get ahead of the other two clubs.
Chelsea do love signing a potential star for the future though, so they may still make their move soon.
