Rory Jennings has been on Talksport this weekend to talk about Chelsea’s defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on Friday night – and their defeat to the same opposition a week before in the FA Cup.
Very calmly, the Chelsea fan and radio pundit took apart the side he supports. When he was asked whether these were the worst results of Enzo Maresca’s time as manager, Rory said no, however:
“We’re a really poor team and he’s an average manager… [but] we lost to Ipswich. We drew 0-0 with Sean Dyche’s Everton team. We lost at home to Fulham for the first time in 50 years. Going to the Amex and losing twice in 6 days, is sort of historic for them… this isn’t me protecting the performance because it was woeful, totally embarrassing. It’s just a testament to quite how poor this collection of players are, that this isn’t as bad as it’s going to be, or as bad as its been. We are a terrible team.”

So much to criticise in Chelsea, from players to tactics to squad building

Jennings didn’t stop there. He was asked the very interesting question about whether he would rather have kept Mauricio Pochettino – another manager he wasn’t happy about. He had to admit we’d probably be better with Pochettino still around.
He also laid into the players – apart from Cole Palmer, who he called “elite”, and Moises Caicedo who he said is “excellent” – calling them “average.” He pointed out that it was funny how much fuss was being made about Nicolas Jackson being out injured when he’s just an “average” player.
As for Maresca, he called him a “Championship manager” and said he felt sorry for him.
Sale the club to the group of people who knows how to manage the club with a winning mentality . And hire a winner manager . They hired useless manager who is one dimensional tactics system plus selecting wrong group of players . Play Palmer at the wing . This team needs 3 man midfield if playing four at the back . Two pivot and play Enzo in the attack . Play Neto upfront . Or play the academy player upfront . NKunKu isn’t working , talented but not strong enough for EPL .
I agree with Nelson. We have no goalkeeper at all. Robert is the last resort between the sticks. Try Palmer on the right, Neto on the left and George as a 9 in our next game.
This championship manager is costing our club, chelsea hired the wrong manager who is not quality and who doesn’t qualify for epl
