And another player who is gaining traction and getting a lot of hype, is another young starlet in Kendry Paez, who already plays senior international football for Ecuador.
And this story is regarding the plans for Paez, and it sounds like he will be going out on loan/for an adaptation period. It’s all very confusing though.
Director makes claim
Chelsea and Paez want a period of adaptation in Europe before he turns 18, confirms the Sporting Director of IDV, Luis Saritama.
“Last week we talked to Kendry Páez, there are two possibilities. There is a request from Chelsea for the player to have an adaptation period in Europe. We are analyzing it with its representation agency and the club that owns its rights.
“On the 17th or 20th of this month Kendry will make his first trip to Europe, what predominates here is the decision of club and player, the intention of both is to have a period of adaptation already before he turns 18.
“I would not rule out that Kendry is not playing these months with us.”
I guess we just need to wait and see what happens here then.
