Chelsea reportedly remain very interested in signing an experienced striker who has registered 134 career goals in all competitions so far.
The Blues certainly need a new striker, even if you don’t take into account the current injuries to both Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu. They did still manage to thrash Southampton earlier this week though.
The Blues won the game 4-0 in what was a much needed convincing performance, with goals coming from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella.
EXCLUSIVE! Whose jobs will be at risk at Chelsea if they do not get UCL football this season?
The Saints were a very poor opposition of course, but Chelsea really needed a big win and a big performance, and that is exactly what they did last night right in the nick of time as they look to keep challenging for that all important Champions League spot.
Neto was superb playing as the number 9 and as well as getting his goal, he has explained why he loves playing as a striker with a hilarious answer!
However, a new true number 9 is very much needed at the club and will be sought after once again this summer window.
Chelsea still in for Osimhen

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, writing for TEAMtalk this week, Chelsea remain very interested in the 26-year-old as they seek to add an elite centre-forward to their side. Chelsea apparently feel Osimhen’s exit clause is a fair price.
But they aren’t the only club mentioned in this report, and it really focuses around Manchester United’s interest, with a claim being made that the player is keen on joining them.
Juventus and PSG are two other clubs mentioned as being interested in Osimhen, who will surely make his big move back to Europe come the end of this season.
