Chelsea Head Coach Enzo Maresca has picked the striker that he wants at the club for the next transfer window this coming summer.
The Blues are expected to be busy now this summer, and we have had plenty of updates floating around this week already.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has put out his latest YouTube video at the weekend with a bunch of info in that. The main takeaway was Romano saying Chelsea are going to be in the market for a new striker, a centre back, and a winger in the summer.
And there has also been a lot of noise regarding Jadon Sancho and whether Chelsea will actually be signing him from Manchester United permanently in the summer or not. The Athletic are reporting that there is a £5m break clause fee that Chelsea can pay to send him back and terminate the loan obligation to buy.
But it is the new striker who we are talking about for this report, and sources have told our own writer Simon Phillips this week who Maresca wants in as new striker this summer.
Maresca keen on former City player
Liam Delap, who used to be a Manchester City player, is the striker Maresca wants to see at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Phillips writes on his own Substack site:
‘SPTC sources have heard that head coach Enzo Maresca really wants the club to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich.
‘As we exclusively reported in January, Chelsea tried to sign him then but were forced to wait. They are expected to try again for Delap this summer and would even try to bring him in time for the CWC.
‘Delap may not be the only striker that they bring in though, and apparently there has been some noise this weekend about two strikers coming in. You might remember we did mention this before and yes, it is certainly still a possibility.’
Chelsea fc in need of a striker next summer. To strengthen the team they need center back also amd call pedrovic back from loan.
Maresca needs to be sacked, if he says this. We are tired of the babies who can’t take us anywhere.

We at Chelsea are not interested in left overs from Man City, let the Club find a befitting striker and hand him over to the gaffer and if he feels he’s not interested,please allow him to pack his bags and go to Man City and continue admiring Pep Guandiola for the rest of his life.
Many fans world wide are yearning for the good exiting days old of Roman Abrahmovich. We’re just tired of these inexperienced youngsters. Let them grow at the Academy. We need 2 experienced strikers who have won the league or some silver ware in a European competition or the world cup. Delap? Are you kidding me? When we are not even sure of the Top four? We also need a goal keeper and the 2nd goal keeper currently at Liverpool is available, please don’t hesitate on this recommendations, other wise a lot of fans may abandon Chelsea.
The owner is not interested in trophy but business and that’s why he won’t sign a stricter that his weekly wages ll be above 200k
I disagree with maresca on Liam Delap.
Chelsea should buy a top quality striker like Gyokeres and Osimhen or even Boniface.
Let the club also consider Cunha.

personally iam not a coach and i cant question any coach, he moresca have done more than expected so they should give what he want and not what anybody want. U people called him chapionship coach but look at him now guiding us to top four finish. New owners and a new culture so if u guys dont want it then u live it
