Tomorrow is a massive day for Chelsea – they face Newcastle with Champions League football on the line.
After that come 2 more Premier League games, all with that massive prize resting on them. Then the Conference League final. But despite so much riding on the final matches of the season, there are already massive plans in place for the summer.
Huijsen clearly Chelsea’s top target – but other teams in the mix

Without question, at this stage it’s obvious that Dean Huijsen is the club’s top target in defence. We’ve heard that from so many different sources now we just can’t deny it. But according to Football Espana’s report today, we’re not the only ones interested. It’s going to be a serious battle.
Not only are Real Madrid very interested (and Huijsen very interested in Madrid), there are also four Premier League teams who are ready to go for the Bournemouth defender.
The report says that Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool are all in the race, along with Chelsea.
The Blues have one advantage already – they have already submitted an offer, and are aiming to get a deal done as soon as possible so they can have the Spain international playing with them at the Club World Cup.
The Madrid menace lurking with intent
It should all be pretty straightforward – we want Huijsen, we’ve made a big for him, he has a release clause. While those other teams may be tempting to him, we should be able to offer him more.
The true risk is Real Madrid. This report says Huijsen is a fan of Los Blancos, and they still believe that gives them the edge in a transfer. Even if things don’t work out, it makes him more likely to delay any potential deal with us while he holds out for them to get serious.
