Chelsea have just won the Club World Cup, cruising to a 3-0 win over PSG in New York, but the celebrations on the pitch at full time were interrupted by a proper scrap between both sides and their sizable benches.
It had been a bad tempered game throughout, with PSG not used to losing, and certainly not used to getting beaten like this. Tempers rose through the game, and it was at full time that it came to a head.
As players met and shook hands, there was some sort of flashpoint involving new Chelsea hero Joao Pedro, who scored his third goal for the club on his second start, and PSG manager Luis Enrique, who is a notoriously fiery character. The Asturian was captured on camera pursuing Joao Pedro and then grabbing him by the throat.
Joao Pedro channels his Diego Costa arc

We love Luis Enrique, but he’s embarrassed himself there. We have no idea what Joao Pedro had done, but we didn’t see anything on TV. And it’s hard to imagine what he could do which would have justified that response.
This might be the first flash of his troll arc, taking up a bit of the Diego Costa mantle we’ve been so desperate to see return to the team. He has the same striker’s instincts, and we love to see it.
This whole team are showing more grit, determination, a harder aspect and so many of the qualities they’ve lacked in recent years. They have to learn not to step over the line, and we’ve been so frustrated by some of the silly yellow and red cards, but a little bit of this spice only helps.

Soar LOOSER. That’s what Poor Luis Enrique is!!!!! Hail to the winner Chelsea!!!!!!
What is it about PSG? They win something big and their supporters riot en masse, they lose and their manager flat-out commits a felony against another player.
Whatever it is, I’m glad of the win but I’m truly dlighted it’s at the expense of the noxious Paris St Germain.
