The deal for Chelsea to sell Renato Veiga to Atletico Madrid is gaining a lot of steam, and the Football Espana summary of the deal shows just how many sources are reporting on a move that looks like it could be wrapped up very soon.
They note that the momentum has gathered so suddenly in the last week after the Spanish side finally gave up on the dream of signing their first choice centre back – Cristian Romero of Tottenham. After being priced out of that deal by Spurs’ reported €70m asking price, they’ve moved on to the next on the list – the versatile Veiga.
Veiga has perfect destination all lined up, personal terms agreed

Veiga had a good spell as a Chelsea backup and then on loan at Juventus in the second half of last season, but is still aiming higher. He’s reportedly given Atletico the green light, and it’s easy to see why. They offer him the chance to start at a genuine European contender, and we think Diego Simeone will really enjoy the Portugal international’s fiery, physical style.
Transfer insider Florian Plettenberg says that Veiga has “almost agreed” personal terms, and that “other teams are in the mix” if Chelsea don’t come to an agreement with Atletico, putting further pressure on the Spanish side.
Chelsea and Atletico close in on agreement over transfer fee
In terms of the fee, the majority of the reporting in the last 24 hours has Atletico having bid €35m with bonuses included, while Chelsea hold out for €40m.
When the gap is that small one can be fairly sure it can be hammered out quickly, especially when there are so many other clubs interested, increasing the pressure on the buying team to stump up.
This deal could be done by the end of the week.

I have noticed every team wants Chelsea players to buy them they trying to mug Chelsea FC even if Chelsea FC wants to buy a player from another team . This is unfair and unsportsmanlike . FIFA nor UEFA charged Chelsea FC why not Man city and PSG Liverpool and Real Madrid . Be Fair . This about Rules and Law .
