“Completed his Chelsea medical” – Blues close on major summer signing after latest Ben Jacobs update

Alejandro Garnacho has completed his Chelsea medical as he closes in on a move to Stamford Bridge according to Ben Jacobs.

Chelsea agreed a deal with Manchester United for Garnacho on Thursday evening believed to be worth a total package of £40m.

Garnacho has been patiently waiting for Chelsea and turned down approaches from Bayern Munich and a club in Saudi Arabia.

Alejandro Garnacho passes Chelsea medical

The 21-year-old will become Chelsea’s fourth attacking signing of the window after Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea have revamped their attack this summer , and Garnacho is likely to compete with Gittens for a place on the left wing.

The Argentine won’t make his Chelsea debut until after the international break, and needs time to get up to speed having not had a proper pre-season.

However, his move to Chelsea is edging ever closer, and Jacobs has provided an important update on the situation.

He took to X.com and said:

“Alejandro Garnacho has completed his Chelsea medical ahead of signing a seven-year contract at Chelsea.”

There’s a possibility Garnacho could be presented to the fans at Stamford Bridge ahead of the game against Fulham on Saturday lunchtime.

Garnacho scored 11 goals and registered ten assists in 58 appearances for United in all competitions last season, and Chelsea will be hoping to see the same level of output at a bare minimum.

Fermin Lopez to swap Barcelona for Chelsea?

Chelsea are still looking to add another attacker, and that was expected to be Xavi Simons, but the 22-year-old has now joined Tottenham.

The Blues have alternative targets and are interested in Lopez, although it’s thought a deal is difficult to do at this stage, and would be expensive.

Chelsea have held talks with Lopez and are trying to convince the player before initiating contact with Barcelona, but the clock is ticking until the end of the window, and something needs to happen fast if the Blues are going to pull that deal off.

  1. No chance to get Lopez …. They couldn’t even much spurs offer to Simon . This club won’t win EPL with that kind of character . They pay gitten but don’t want to pay Simon . That’s disrespectful what they have done to Simon . Kudus with Simon for spurs way much better set up than what my fav club assemble . This maresca obsessed with wingers , and he could even unlock tight defence . You will regret for life not signing Simon . If Chelsea FC really wants lopez convinced him and then pay the price tag . Your system of recruitment is nursery but your rivals recruitment are university graduates quality ready to win . My team won’t win EPL and even UCL with that kind of characters . You only win hush hush tournament . Good luck . Watch out spurs will show up how ambitious they are really wants to compete , but my fav club still listening to nursery songs . You let go a signing that makes this team become solid and competitive to win the EPL and UCL . What a frustration , bad decision . I hope you keep Jackson , Chelsea FC needs Jackson .

    1. I am afraid to say (unlucky for Chelsea) that most of your Arguments are Correct.
Chelsea will miss Xavi both with Costing and with Performance in the game.

    2. Chelsea are craving for players with premier leaque experience hence prioriticing Garnacho move. Xavi Simons is from Leipzig (different leaque) and chelsea has had some bad experience with players from that club, like Nkunku and Werner, i guess.

    3. bro what you talking about with all this mumbling do you even know football why must u disrespect our club if you are a( true blue) respect the decision the club made. watch this space
Blue is The Color and don’t forget it
