Benoit Badiashile is due to return to action at the start of September as he continues his recovery from injury according to reports.
Badiashile limped off in the Club World Cup last 16 tie against Benfica, and was seen leaving the stadium in Charlotte on crutches.
The Frenchman hasn’t played since, but he’s been doing individual training at Chelsea’s Cobham base, as he steps up his recovery.
Badiashile due to return in September
Badiashile has struggled with injury problems during his time at Chelsea, and is yet to recapture the form he showed in his first six months at Stamford Bridge after joining from Monaco in January 2023.
The 24-year-old made 22 appearances in all competitions last season, and Football London have reported Badiashile is aiming for a return to action at the beginning of September.

The report adds Badiashile is currently ahead of schedule with his recovery, and this will be welcome news for Enzo Maresca given Levi Colwill will miss most of the season with an ACL injury.Â
Badiashile has been linked with a Chelsea exit, but he appears set to stay, and providing he can stay fit could prove to be a useful squad member.
With Colwill’s injury there could be an opportunity for Badiashile to feature more regularly this season, but he’s got to stay fit if he’s to take advantage of any opportunities presented.
Chelsea suffer major Levi Colwill blow
The news Colwill will most of the season is a major blow, and leaves Chelsea with a big decision to make in terms of signing a replacement.
It’s been reported Chelsea aren’t currently considering signing a new centre back, but currently the only two fit senior centre backs are Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah.
The Blues have new signing Hato who can play at centre back, whilst there’s also Josh Acheampong and Aaron Anselmino, but at least one possibly both could be sent on loan.

Chelsea need an experienced defender to replace Colwell , Fofana is to often injured as is Badiashile . Chalobah is a reliable squad player but is not a great footballer. It would be madness to spend the money we have on improving our attack and leave our defence to struggle. Chelsea now have a strong front line , our midfield is packed with quality players, our defence also has to be strong ,
Now Colwill has joined a train of injury. Badiashile is supposed to go out with Disasi. We don’t need to nurse injury players. Whether Badiashile is back or not. Is and average player. If we can. Sell Madueke there is no need to keep him. Only chaloba and Tosin we have had squard player. You need to sign in two solid back(sign one from Crystal and maybe another one loan). You don’t to stress Hato, because we really need to rest cucurella to avoid the same Colwill situation. This is same that happen to James. Manage them well and bring in two now the the window is still open. Chelsea need to start strong
I would love to see Renato Veiga given a chance at centre back , it’s his preferred position, sent out on loan last season to Juventus where he played really well according to the Italian media , not sure why he hasn’t been given a fair crack of the whip at Chelsea, Brought to the club by Pochettino, not sure why Maresca doesn’t like him
Surely this is a chance for Renato Vega to play the position he has always wanted and force his way in to the 11
Play Anselmino and Acheampong…. This two young players are ready and needs more regular playing time . Fofana and badiashile are injury prone keep veiga and buy a CBs like guehi , araujo from Barca or Kim min- jae or Silva from benfica but too expensive. Scalvani from Atlanta though his injury prone too . Brantwaite from Everton . Like I say fofana and badiashile not reliable due to their injuries plus too many tournaments to play . Needs 3rd strikers if Jackson goes plus a new keeper .
It’s high time for Chelsea to sign New center back.
