Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca appears to have had his first big public disagreement with the Chelsea decision makers this week.
He saw his side draw 0-0 with Crystal Palace yesterday in the opening game of the new Premier League season for the Blues, and most will look at it as not being a good enough result or performance from Maresca’s side.

The performance had Gary Neville claiming that Chelsea lack a spine and are not there yet and I’m thinking that there might actually be some Blues fans agreeing with him on that for once!
Palace even had a goal ruled out by VAR after Robert Sanchez was unable to get anything on an Eberechi Eze free kick. Chelsea and Sanchez got let off and were very lucky in the end.
Many Chelsea fans will think the club need to go sign a new centre back after the injury to Levi Colwill that could see him miss most of this season, and Enzo Maresca agrees.
The club do not agree
According to Kieran Gill of The Daily Mail who is likely to be reporting the official line from the club, Maresca believes he has no like for like Colwill replacement to build attacks and wants a centre back. Chelsea decision makers disagree and have told him to find an internal solution because their chequebook is closed for centre back.
Does not look good
I honestly cannot see this ending well after such a public disagreement because Maresca has also said he wants a new centre back in public as well. If Chelsea don’t get him one, he will always lean back to that now if they have a bad run or don’t get results.
I said it long ago. Enzo Maresca is not not the best Coach for Chelsea. He claimed he had problems, Now he has Two solid first class Premier league teams at his disposal and is still confused. As to what to do.
