Chelsea last night confirmed that Nicolas Jackson had joined Bayern Munich on a loan deal which has a large fee and a obligatory purchase element if certain conditions are met.
It’s a huge total which could reach beyond €80m, and pundits can’t believe the Blues got so much for their talented but flawed striker.
Burley claims agents and backhanders lie behind monster Jackson move
ESPN already had cast doubt on the move from the perspective of whether Jackson was actually going to play much.
Craig Burley then went one further by claiming the whole thing was corrupt. We hope Disney’s layers have seen all this:
“This is just proof that the game has gone. Jackson has gone to Bayern Munich on a hefty loan fee with an obligation to buy, as Chelsea’s third choice striker,” the pundit said.
“Some of the moves that are occurring these days smack of agents getting weighed in heavily, people getting paid, behind the scenes, money changing hands, players making moves that make you sit and go ‘really?'”
You can see them discussing the deal in the clip embedded here:
Barat gets the job done for Jackson

To be fair there was some pushback from his colleagues, but Burley wasn’t cowed.
There is certainly a major drive in terms of agents behind this move – Jackson’s man Ali Barat became one of the central figures in the drama, and released a gloating statement after the move went through, which took some not very disguised shots at Chelsea.
To be fair, no matter his motives, you’ve got to give the guy credit for doing his job incredibly well. He’s looking like the next big name to come up and join the Mino Raiola / Jorge Mendes tier of super agent.

burley hates chelsea !!! he was a bit part player managing 104 league appearances in 8 years averaging an hour a game playing time !!! then they threw him out
Aah! I was young during Burley’s time at Chelsea and was struggling to recall much about his career. I’d been thinking recently, he must have had a rough time ‘cos he f*cking hates us now! You’ve just cleared that up, thanks!
He’s potty!!
Burley is a windbag. His unfounded hot takes are a large part of what makes ESPNFC mostly unwatchable. The fact that he launches allegations of “corruption” with ZERO evidence is a disgrace.
Alas, loud, stupid punditry is a cornerstone of the ESPN brand these days (and “internet culture” in general). If you want to see the prototype Burley is almost surely being coached by his producers to emulate then look up Stephen A. Smith. But be sure you have a vomit bag handy—you’ll need it.
Yes those multi billionaires are idiots and dont know what they are doing but a fool like Burley can see through the tissue of whoppers and spot the corruption. Shit up you pratt
But that’s it every player leaves bad for good so it’s best club according to his understanding and proof because he has been in his former team so he’s opinion is right to him
