Former Chelsea captain John Terry has been speaking to the media this week and when he speaks, Chelsea fans listen.
Terry is easily in the top five ever Chelsea players and the best captain we have ever had in my opinion. So for me, his opinions are important and I will always take note and listen to what he says and thinks around the current team.

He is still working for Chelsea in the academy of course, but his role is more of a quiet one than anything big right now.
Terry has questioned Chelsea’s recruitment over the summer, or at least one aspect of it that he believes is still missing.
The former Blues centre back is not the only former player to be questioning Chelsea’s recruitment this summer. Former winger Joe Cole believes the club could have still done with a new goalkeeper after suggesting Robert Sanchez is the weakest link in their quest to win the Champions League this season.
But not all former players are questioning what the club are doing. Another former captain Dennis Wise has come out and backed the recruitment strategy this week, believing that signing young and on long contracts is working for Chelsea.
What Terry has said

Terry tells talkSPORT this week:
“I think the only thing we [Chelsea] are missing at the moment is those marquee signings.
“I’d love to see us [Chelsea] in the mix for big signings if we want to be back to our very best and at the top winning Premier Leagues year after year.
“[This Season], I think Liverpool are the strongest side. I think Manchester City have shown vulnerability again this season.”
Good points made
I think he’s made some good points here for sure. The fact is though, this is just not how Chelsea operate anymore and only time will tell if it works or not.
