Wayne Rooney was less than impressed with Enzo Maresca during Chelsea’s defeat to Manchester United on Saturday evening.
The Blues slumped to a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford on a miserable afternoon in Manchester, and their wait for a first win at the famous ground since 2013 continues.
The defeat leaves Chelsea seven points adrift of leaders Liverpool already after just five games, and there are once again more questions than answers with the Blues.
Wayne Rooney critical of Enzo Maresca
Maresca fielded Cole Palmer and Estevao for the first time together in attack, whilst Wesley Fofana was handed a first start of the season at centre back.
However, it was short lived with Chelsea all over the place from the first minute, which culminated in Robert Sanchez being sent off after just four minutes for taking out Bryan Mbeumo.

Estevao and Pedro Neto were sacrificed as Chelsea went to a back five, which left them with no out ball, and too compound their misery Palmer went off injured after 20 minutes.
Maresca has come under fire for his changes, and Rooney didn’t understand it as he labelled the Italian’s decision as “strange.”
“They had no imagination on the pitch, did they? I felt that’s what was missing for Chelsea,” he told BBC Match of the Day.
“They had a lot of possession side-to-side in the second half but they missed that creativity which, of course, Cole Palmer and [Pedro] Neto bring them so, I think the change was strange but thankfully, it helped [Man] United.”
Chelsea must recover from poor week
It was a poor week for the Blues which saw them draw against Brentford and lose their Champions League opener against Bayern Munich.
Chelsea now face a crucial run of fixtures before the next international break, starting with a trip to Lincoln in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
The Blues then face a huge game against Brighton before two big games against Benfica and the Champions Liverpool.

Maresca is not a first grade coach. He is majorly Chelsea’s problem.
What Is Going On With Chelsea You Know All This Happening Was Their Mistake In Failing To Sign New Goalkeeper And Defender Sanchez Isn’t A Good Goalie At All What Is Totally Wrong With Chelsea And Chalobah Is Fighting Harder For Chelsea In The CB With Colwill ACL Injury It Is Totally Unfair What Happened To Acheampong He Is Very Talented Look At His Good Performance Against Crystal Palace Maresca Should Be Pairing Chalobah With Acheampong If I Am Maresca I Would Sit Down All My Players Talk To Them Encourage Them Or As Chelsea Is Playing Unbeaten What Is Wrong If There Go With It Until The Seasons End Maresca I Encourage You To Talk To Your Player Thanks
Chelsea must wake up from its slumber, otherwise they will have a miserable season. Being crowned as the world champions would have given them momentum to take the lead in several leagues. However, it’s not too late for them to pull up their socks.
Maresca, you have all the arsenals to win every trophy you are chasing, just go back to a drawing board and see how you can be using your skilful players.
