Well, well, well… things just got very interesting at Stamford Bridge.
With Chelsea down to ten men after a red card for Moises Caicedo, we went into the second half of this game expecting a bit of siege of our goal. Instead, we’ve got the opposite.
Fresh from the break the Blues put the pressure on with a set piece which Joao Pedro headed at goal. It was actually going just wide, but David Raya made a Hollywood save anyway. It proved a costly decision. From the resulting corner which Reece James whipped in menacingly to the near post, Trevoh Chalobah leapt and got a faint touch which was enough to lift the ball over Raya and his defenders and see the ball drop at the far post.
You can see the goal in the clips embedded here:

Chelsea face tough decisions in fascinating second half

Now things get interesting – Chelsea have the lead and are a man down. They will desperately want to defend, but need to keep threatening on the break to keep the Gunners honest – and potentially even nick a goal to really change things up.
Liam Delap has come on to chase long balls and defenders.
It’s going to be scrappy and nasty as we try to get the opposition to level things up by getting a red themselves. Strap yourselves in, it’s going to get feisty.
In other news…
Estevao isn’t the only interesting player given a start by Enzo Maresca today, you can see the full team lineup here.
Cole Palmer could start today, but even if he doesn’t he will be back in soon, and that means someone is going to miss out. We speculate about who that could be, here.
