Report: Forgotten Chelsea star subject to shock interest from surprise Premier League club

Everton are keeping an eye on Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson who’s currently on loan at Bayern Munich according to reports.

Jackson joined Bayern on a season long loan, with an obligation to buy based on making a certain number of appearances.

However, it’s been reported Bayern are increasingly unlikely to sign Jackson on a  permanent basis at the end of the season.

Jackson has scored two goals and registered one assist in ten appearances so far this campaign under Vincent Kompany.

What happens between now and the end of the season remains to be seen, but it’s believed Jackson will be sold next summer whether it’s to Bayern or another club.

However, Football Insider have reported Everton are keeping an eye on Jackson and have joined the race for the Senegal international.

The report adds Jackson’s physicality and movement make him a David Moyes style of striker and a good fit to lead the line, and Everton could look to make a move.

The 24-year-old spent two seasons at Chelsea, but the arrival of both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap pushed him down the pecking order, and he opted to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

Emanuel Emegha joining next summer

Regardless of what Bayern do, it’s clear Chelsea have moved on from the Senegalese as they’ve signed Emanuel Emegha from Strasbourg.

Emegha has signed a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge and will join the Blues next summer, although it’s unclear what the fee is.

Chelsea are said to believe Emegha has greater potential than Jackson, and the Dutch under-21 international scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

Emegha will likely go straight into the squad and compete with Pedro and Delap, and he offers a totally different profile up front given his pace and 6ft 5′ frame.
