Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has gone on a bit of a bizarre rant after Chelsea lost 3-1 to Leeds United last night.
Cundy isn’t the only one, either. John Terry was furious after the game and went on a small rant about it as well and how Chelsea just weren’t prepared to go to Leeds and get a result last night.

Gary Neville is obviously not a Chelsea fan so his analysis was less ranty but even still, he got it spot on as well, complaining about how Chelsea’s setup just mainly sees them popping the ball around amongst the back line without really doing any damage further forward.
Cundy has been ranting about the game afterwards, but his focus has been more on Leeds and hating them, rather than anything else. Cundy says Leeds weren’t even very good against Chelsea!?
Cundy’s rant

“Let me say this, Leeds weren’t great. We were absolutely terrible.
“I’ve watched Leeds this season, I’ve seen them right. I’ve seen them against Spurs first half, against Villa first half, they’re good.
“Not tonight, they just played a three at the back, five midfield, pressed us without pressing us. We were shocking.
“I heard Farke’s interview. What’s he talking about? Three great goals? Did he not see the third goal?
“He’s a man on borrowed time. Do you know what? I hope Leeds get relegated.
“Seriously, I hope Leeds get relegated. And get relegated again and get back to where they belong in League One.
“Marching on together? You lot march back, back to League One where you lot belong. Right? I’ve had enough.”
My view
Granted, it was a terrible performance by Chelsea, but Leeds were also very good, in my opinion. They just wanted it more than Chelsea did and played with more energy, more intensity, and were the better team.
Cundy just sounds far too bitter here for me, not a good look that.
To be blame is that coach maresca . Not just they played well against Barca and Arsenal means his good coach manager , he is not good . How many times he put the team in disarray? . We understand about rotation but make it right , why not playing Acheampong and Hato . Last night against Leeds he makes lots of mistakes , every time they play middle table team or team that fighting for relegation he flopped because he only had one tactics he knows . If flop against Bournemouth , the board should look on it . Bring back Anselmino and Sarr and please play Acheampong and Hato . This are young quality players and skillful player that’s needs to play . Chelsea FC can beat anyone as long you bring in right balance on the team . Maresca should trust Santos even if caceido is on . Last night Fernandez was man mark and maresca didn’t adjusted on it . Chelsea team way much stronger with 3 man midfield than playing insertion of midfield . Plus its time the board to bring in well experience CBs world class proven player to organise the back defense . Good luck against Bournemouth . I hope this maresca changes his formation and tactics whoever they play and get the right balance of the team .
Cundy is a passionate Chelsea fan, with so many former Utd and Liverpool stars as pundits we’re lucky to have someone in the media that loves the club.
I think he was right….Leeds won because of how bad we were and not how good they were.
It was a frustrating game and even more so when everyone predicted we’d struggle against a lower side due to our inconsistency.
