Marc Cucurella is going to miss a few games, and Liam Rosenior is trying to work out how best to replace him tactically.
CFC Central was on the London is Blue podcast this morning giving his take on the Burnley draw from last night.
His strengths are on the tactical side, and it was interesting to hear this thoughts on how Rosenior is trying to compensate for the absence of Marc Cucurella in the team, while the Spaniard is out injured:
“Cucurella was asked to be a little more advanced on the left, and Reece James would tuck in as the extra centre back on the right hand side,” Central said.
“With Cucurella out, we were seeing the opposite. We really saw James pushing up in an advanced position on the right wing… I think Rosenior was trying to figure out what the situation was in Cucurella’s absence. Is he going to try to go with the less proven Jorrel Hato, or is he going to play Malo Gusto there.

It was Gusto who got the nod from the start, and it’s fair to say it didn’t work super well. His most notable moment in attack was trying a silly look-away cut back that would have quickly been forgotten had we won the game – but we didn’t.

The problem with this so could head coaches is favouritism . Hato is a good player and he needs regular playing time , he should be the one playing as a LB if cucu not playing . He can play as will as LCB or DCM . How can you develop a player like him if not trusting him . Every players can makes mistakes but why they have to give other which Hato is ready . What ever excuses they have ( this so called head coach ) they not helping the development of the player and confidence . If they will offload him and shine to other teams whose to blame . The problem of this people’s inside the club theirs ego and naive . They cause this club too much since they took over . Roman has passion and love this club even he sacking managers but he delivers . This so called billionaires they wasted their money , sack your SD that cause the club much . Keep the right people who can deliver this club to winning the EPL and UCL and FA cup and even the league cup . The only what this club done is beating PSG in the final CWcup . The set up and the system of the owners and the boards of directors not bringing good for the club . You spent billions and can even beat lower clubs . 3 yrs still not winning the EPL . when Roman took over he have won EPL , UCL , FA cup , league Cup and so on . They bought gitten £65 where is he ?
They should have kept Jackson even they bought Delap and JP . They returned Sarr but not playing and loan up Anselmino , how can this two quality young defenders can quickly adapt in EPL physical fast-paced game . Santos is exceptional his heart set up for the club . He plays with passion for the club . Chalobah is graduates and he loves the club and rumours of selling him bad business . Get rid off the deadwood keep a player that wants to win . Some asking for pay rise they could not even beat arsenal and the lower team . I think this team will miss the UCL qualification next season . Good luck if this team win their remaining game’s . I love the club but I’m disappointed to this club overall . No merchandise no tickets no season ticket and not interested to watch crap playing systems, always mistakes in selection making . What they see on this two SP and others … ?
Bad Business waste of time and money . Put the club on sale . Man United and Arsenal will win even though it against my wishes . Goodbye champion league . No one wants to come to Chelsea FC no UCL.
