Mike Penders looks set to return to Chelsea next season to try and compete for the first choice goalkeeper spot.

Matt Law’s piece for the Daily Telegraph today is all about Liam Rosenior and Chelsea backing him to do well despite some early struggles.
However there’s also an interesting snippet in there about a young goalkeeper who the Blues currently have on loan at Rosenior’s former team. The chaos with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen this season means the Blues desperately need a solution between the sticks.
A young Belgian already on the books could provide it.
“Mike Penders is likely to return from his season-long loan at Strasbourg to compete for the No. 1 spot,” Law writes.
“With a decision yet to be taken on whether to try to sign a new goalkeeper.”
Penders may need another year – but Chelsea can’t afford to wait
We’re a little torn on this one. Penders looks to have huge potential, and Chelsea clearly need a few goalkeeper. But we worry he’s not quite ready yet, and could do with another year on loan. The worst case scenario is to have him at Chelsea but sitting on the bench behind Robert Sanchez or a new goalkeeper brought in.

Probably The Issues With Chelsea Now Is Not All About Goalkeeper They Are So Many Issues Chelsea Need To Solve But I Would Appreciate Chelsea If They Brought In Mike Pender To Become The First Choice I Would Be Glad But First Of All Between Jorgensen And Sanchez One Need To Leave Inorder To Create Space For Pender And As For Me I Voted That Jorgenpen Would Stay And Sanchez Will Be Loaned Or Sell The Reason For This Was That If Filip Would Be Sold And Sanchez Remain With Pender As The Replacement Of Filip I Bet You Any Coach That Come’s Will Prefer Sanchez Over Pender(By Age,Oldest In The Club,Between The Two Who Is Trained Better,Who Know The Play Of The Team ETC) So The Coach Will Love Starting Him Over Him As For Sanchez He Once Said And Believe That If You Make Error In This Match The Fans Will Be Frustrated With You So Annoying With You So Agree But In The Next Match If Best Performance Is Provided The Errors,Mistake Will Be Forgotten. What He Said Is True But Not All Will Believe In Him Any Longer.
