Strasbourg fans were furious with losing Liam Rosenior to Chelsea in January – but have ended up delighted with his replacement.

Chelsea aren’t in action until Monday night, so we’re really excited for tonight’s Conference League semi final first leg featuring our sister club Strasbourg.
Gary O’Neil took over from Liam Rosenior when the latter came to Chelsea in January, and has since continued his predecessor’s good work. While their league form isn’t as strong as last year, that’s because of their deep run in the Coupe de France and Conference League.
O’Neil’s communication style compared to Rosenior’s
The Athletic had a really interesting piece about how O’Neil compared with Rosenior, featuring quotes from a Strasbourg fan.
“O’Neil is basically acting like a very down-to-earth football manager. He sticks to football and that is very much welcome because Liam Rosenior had a very high idea of himself. He had communication that was very sophisticated; he would speak about so many things and he had a kind of a posture that it was all about him.
“Gary O’Neil is more of a regular football guy who speaks about football, very down to earth, and that’s OK with us.”
We all saw how Rosenior’s style went down at Chelsea – hopefully he can learn to tweak his communication going forward.

Don’t trust the people around Chelsea FC the XL Bully and the Pug’s with their poodle’s . This club legacy finished . This hierarchy in the club are bad spirited people’s . No matter what they saying about the future of the club there is behind it . Its show’s for 4yrs look at the state of the club and look what ex coach saying about those people’s running the club . I don’t know when the good days of the club be back with this people’s around not trusted . They might try to win the EPL and UCL but can they sustain it every season’s . Or investing in younger players for development and selling them for profits and let the success of the club left behind . For 4 yrs it show’s there intention ., just be mid table club . Look no investors want to invest to the club if the hierarchy won’t win the EPL and UCL. Every season should aim for winning the EPL and compete on UCL and win it . Then investors will want to invest to the club . More quality players will be attracted to play for CFc . What happened to the stadium plan and why can’t get permanent sponsorship for front of shirts . Winning in the pitch and be champion of EPL and UCL bring profit and attention to all sports businesses . But if only focus on buying young players and develop them for selling them for the right price , where’s the club goes . No bright future with that attitude . Kinetic company destruction of the club legacy . This people’s only wants is their business portfolio than give the club a recognition of being big club or Elite club because this club is a winning club . My hope is the club goes back to top notch only be competitive but be a champion . Good luck Chelsea FC for the future . With this poodle’s SD’s around don’t trust it . They scared giving head coach a full control on team squad and tactical system of the head coach should be the one to apply to the pitch plus team selections . And of course the head coach needed for a players who he wants to play for the team squad not choice of the hierarchy and poodle’s SD’s . They can buy young players with skills but they need to be ready physically to play in EPL and UCL . I hope whoever be the one to coach the team squad will have a full control and full control on transfers too .
