VIDEO – Chelsea vs Southampton: ‘Worrying facts’ for Mourinho

After the painful elimination from the Champions League, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is even more determined to win, as he said, the most difficult championship in Europe. The Blues host seventh-place Southampton but the mission to win might not be that easy.

According to fantasy football game Oulala.com, some facts are against them.

Southampton come to Stanford Bridge with a confidence after ending a three-match winless run with victory over Crystal Palace and are still only one point off the top six. The Saints have the best defensive record in the league, having conceded just 20 goals all season, two less than John Terry and his companions.

Diego Costa is the league’s top scorer with 17 goals but he hasn’t found the net since January 17th. As seen against PSG, his team-mate Cesc Fabregas isn’t enjoying his best form. He has the most assists in the league (15) but the last one came in the same day (January 17th).

Eden Hazard, on the other hand, shines for Chelsea but will face Nathaniel Clyne, a very promising defensive right-back who is also the most tackling player in the league with 96 tackles in total.

However, Mourinho remains optimistic as Chelsea are five points clear in the title race, with the luxury of a game in hand still to play.
