Wenger rules Arsenal out of title race

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger believes it is too late to catch Chelsea.

Arsenal have made a very slow start of the season dropping to many points according to their manager.

Arsenal were 14 points behind two month ago. Following their 4-1 demolition of Liverpool yesterday at the Emirates, the Gunners now lie seven points behind league leaders Chelsea

The Blues have seven games to go with a game in hands against Leicester and Arsene Wenger believes his side left it too late to challenge them. He said:

We had a very slow start this season, when we had many important players out together, and we dropped too many points.

“We played six games in the Premier League and won two, after that you have a mountain to climb. But now you can see that when we have everybody back, we can compete and the number of points we have made shows we have the quality to fight at the top”

However, there isn’t fifteen games to go but only seven and it is mathematically possible to catch the leaders according to Wenger, he added:

“For the title we need us to be perfect and Chelsea not to be perfect, so let’s focus on what we can master which means our own performance.”
