Pat Nevin has revealed what he thinks can be an additional weapon against Tottenham this weekend – Stamford Bridge.
The former Blues winger has been impressed with the noise levels at the Bridge this term, and thinks that the extra decibels that will be squeezed out by the fixture against Spurs will be the extra edge the team need to keep their run going.
“This season has witnessed a massive increase in noise levels and you have to say that the passion of Antonio Conte must have a lot to do with it,” Nevin is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
It’s hard to argue with that. Not only is Conte indirectly creating the noise by putting out a hard-working, winning team that constantly gives the fans something to shout about; Conte is also directly creating it by demanding it as the game goes on, waving at the fans behind him to raise the volume.
Tottenham will be out for revenge this weekend after we ruined their shot at the title last season, so the team will need all the support they can get from the fans. Hopefully the team will start well and provide some fuel to the fans to get the atmosphere red hot, as it was last year in the 2-2.
