Chelsea are on the verge of losing Thibaut Courtois thanks to a contract dispute, and Eden Hazard is perilously close to going too. In a clear attempt to prevent contract issues affecting their best players in the near future, the Blues are going all out to tie down their big names.
Top of the list is N’Golo Kante, who is the jewel in the crown after Hazard. There have been rumours of interest from European clubs, and now whispers that the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge are going to try and stave off that interest by giving him a mega new deal.
Simon Johnson, who covers Chelsea for the Evening Standard and has good sources at the club, has confirmed earlier rumours about the offer, as you can see here:
As per @garyjacob, #cfc have offered #Kante a new long-term contract. Club confident he will sign it.

It’s superb news for Chelsea fans, who can now start nervously waiting to see if the French star is going to put pen to paper and stop us all sweating about his future.
