The Champions League group stages are over, and no matter how much further Chelsea go in the competition (possibly not very much further seeing as we’re up against Bayern Munich), we’ve already banked some serious cash from Europe’s top club competition.
Every club in the group stage is given a flat fee for participating, plus a bonus for every win and draw.
So while we fell short of some of the top performers, we’ve also raked in some serious dough – vitally important after missing out several times in the last few years.
