This time last year, both Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount were plying their trades on loan in the Championship.
Mount was playing under Frank Lampard at Derby County, and Abraham helped Aston Villa get promoted to the Premier League.
Fast forward to today and both have become vital players for Lampard’s Chelsea team that are in the Quarter finals of the FA cup and perfectly placed to get Champions League qualification.
In fact, both players have tasted their first ever Champions League football this season and really stood up in Europe’s most prestigious competition.
Abraham is the clubs top goalscorer, and his efforts have been rewarded last night.
He become the first player to win both the Young Player of the Season and the Player of the Season in the annual London Football Awards. What a scoop!
Many congratulations @ChelseaFC striker @tammyabraham – winning both Premier League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year. First man ever to win both awards in the same year at The London Football Awards pic.twitter.com/FOw1RnVork

Thoroughly deserved for a striker who proved everyone wrong at the start of the season who doubted that he was good enough to lead the Chelsea line.
