Chelsea told to make plans to finish season behind closed doors including Bayern game

The spread of the Coronavirus is threatening to end the Premier League season with all matches being played behind closed doors, according to The Mirror.

In Italy they have already suspended the football leagues until April, and the whole country has gone into lock down mode due to the virus.

Chelsea’s Champions League knockout match against Bayern Munich next week is also under threat of being forced to play without fans behind closed doors…

Now The Mirror say that Premier League clubs have been told to make contingency plans to expect that the remaining league fixtures will need to be played behind closed doors without any fans, media or anything other then coaches and players inside the stadium.

This will make it a very odd end to the season with supporters having to watch games on TV only, and players having the eerie feel of playing massive games without any atmosphere at all.
