Newcastle interested in Chelsea’s Armando Broja

Many reports over the last days have circulated in regards to Newcastle’s interest in Chelsea striker Armando Broja, following the 20-year-old’s impressive debut season with Southampton.

Sky Sports report the Magpies are interested in Broja and have discussed him as a potential loan signing, with West Ham also keen on his services.

The outlet then explains the Blues intend to assess the Albanian in pre-season, before making a final decision on his future.

With Chelsea recently selling Romelu Lukaku to Inter, it’s hard to see the west London side letting go another striker without a new player lined up, with the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Michy Batshuayi currently the only other recognised first-team strikers.

I believe it’s very important for Broja to be playing on a regular basis and if he isn’t guaranteed this by head coach Thomas Tuchel, a loan move elsewhere will most definitely be the best for his development.

  1. Chelsea shouldn’t make this grave mistake by selling this young talent. Not even sending him to loan
