Unfortunately for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling, he is making the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week.
Everywhere you look someone is writing a new article on Sterling, and this morning it is the turn of The Athletic.
Sources: Clubs now registering summer interest in Chelsea goalkeeper with hope of a sale!
They say that Sterling was a ‘marquee signing’ at Chelsea but is incapable of living up to an unrealistic billing.
The big problem is of course, is that he is one the highest paid members of this current Chelsea squad and is earning a vast amount more than the majority of his team mates, so not only does he have the pressure and expectations of playing in attack as one of the main guys for Chelsea, he also has the pressure of carrying huge wages.
He’s been poor lately, and against Leicester City on Sunday, Chelsea fans booed him off again.
The Athletic have more details on his wages and say they are a similar comparisons to what the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah are earning. They also say that there are no clauses to reduce his wages, should Chelsea not make European football this season.
