(Image) – Stats highlight Pochettino is now getting it right at Chelsea

It’s been another up and down campaign for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea side, but there are clear signs things are starting to come together.

The Blues headed into the season off the back of a dreadful 12th place finish in the league, and ahead of this campaign the squad was completely overhauled, with many players moving on and being replaced by young talented players, albeit with a lack of experience.

There was a real sense of excitement with the business done last summer and having Pochettino in place, who has a reputation for developing young players.

Things started well with a promising draw against Liverpool on the opening day but the Blues could only manage three wins from their first ten league games, and were sat tenth at the half way stage.

However, since Boxing Day things have started to click with only Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City taking more points in 2024.

The last five matches have seen Chelsea play some of their best football of the season, putting in some really impressive performances, which has seen them climb into the top six, giving real signs of optimism ahead of next season.
