(Video) – “I was really emotional” – Blues boss opens up on Spurs win earlier this season

Chelsea take on Tottenham on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge in what is sure to be a hotly contested affair between the London rivals.

Both teams need the three points to help their European aspirations, with Spurs hoping to overhaul Aston Villa for a top four finish, while the Blues are looking to secure European football of any kind.

The game sees Mauricio Pochettino come up against his former club for just the second time, after leaving Spurs in 2019.

His first return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium went very well with the Blues running out 4-1 winners in a crazy game earlier this season.

Speaking ahead of the Thursday’s match the Argentine reflected on what was a tough game in north London, and how for him it was very difficult emotionally.

A win tonight would see Chelsea do the double over Spurs and provide Pochettino with some much needed respite as pressure builds on his future.
