Chelsea have young English talent on their radar but face competition from Liverpool and Tottenham

Chelsea are one of the clubs who have Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens on their radar and are sending scouts to watch the 20-year-old in action according to reports.

The Blues were once again busy in the summer window with a number of new faces added to the squad, the most high profile of which were Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Jadon Sancho.

Enzo Maresca has made a good start to the season and the Blues currently sit fourth with 14 points from a possible 21, with the Italian named Premier League Manager of the Month for September, whilst Cole Palmer scooped the Player of the Month award.

Despite the summer window only closing recently clubs are very much planning for upcoming windows and will be identifying what players they want to bring in and those they want to take a closer look at.

Chelsea are no different and planning for January, next summer and beyond will be well underway and German publication Bild as cited by Sport Witness have reported the Blues are among the clubs who have Dortmund’s Bynoe-Gittens on their radar.

The report adds the Blues will be sending scouts to watch the youngster in action, whilst Tottenham and Liverpool will also do the same.

Bynoe-Gittens was part of the Manchester City academy and made the switch to the Bundesliga in 2020 to continue his development.

The England under-21 international has made a good start to the campaign and has four goals in nine appearances in all competitions.

The left winger is under contract with the German side until 2028 so would likely command a big fee and quite why Chelsea would need another left winger given the options they have, plus the arrival of South American talents Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez in 2025 doesn’t make sense.

If Chelsea are to sign more players, the wide areas certainly aren’t a priority and they could ideally do with another centre back and possibly a striker.
