Chelsea told they need to pay ‘huge fee’ if they want to sign centre back target

Chelsea have been told that they will have to pay a ‘huge fee’ if they want to sign one of their centre back targets any time soon.

The Blues will be looking at a number of centre back targets for the upcoming transfer windows, with this being an area of the pitch that they will surely be needing to improve in. We recently reported Chelsea interest in Ruben Dias in an exclusive article, but there will be more names as well.

Chelsea are also keen on Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, with recent reports suggesting this as well.

But now, a fresh report out this weekend suggests that Chelsea will need to pay big if they want to land the Brazilian centre back.

Murillo is a solid player

Football Insider report, Chelsea would have to pay a ‘huge fee’ if they’re to convince Nottingham Forest to sell Murillo.

They say that Chelsea are keeping tabs on the Brazilian as they seek to scoop up the world’s best youngsters.

There is no indication of just how big said fee will be, but I’m sure Forest will be doing all they can to keep hold of all of their key players, with Murillo certainly being one of them.

In other news today, Alan Shearer has predicted the score for Chelsea’s game against Manchester United that is on later today, with both sides expecting a tough match.

United may well have that new manager bounce about them after Erik Ten Hag was sacked last week, even if Ruben Amorim is not officially starting the role just yet. Chelsea will still have to contend with that, and it can cause issues as we have seen many times before.

Chelsea will need to get on the front foot early doors today and avoid silly mistakes at the back.
