Chelsea linked again with signing player they were in huge transfer saga with recently

Chelsea have been linked again with signing a player that they were in a huge transfer saga with just a couple of years back now.

Of course, The Blues have been in a lot of transfer sagas over their time, but apparently they might be back in one of their recent ones.

Will any players want to even join Chelsea though as they continue a real slump in the league by losing to Brighton 3-0 on Friday night and going down to 6th place in the Premier League? It’s certainly going to be tough.

Chelsea’s defeat against Brighton on Friday night has been named as the ‘worst performance’ under Enzo Maresca so far, and they are not wrong with that analysis at all.

There has been plenty of debate over who is to blame for how bad Chelsea are right now, with fingers being pointed at not just Maresca, but at the sporting directors who built this squad, as well as directly at the club owners. And the stats have backed up that all three have to share the blame right now.

Chelsea linked with Kounde again

Who remembers the transfer saga of Jules Kounde to Chelsea? The Blues seemingly came very close to signing him when Thomas Tuchel was the manager, but it never happened.

He is now of course at Barcelona, but Chelsea are being tipped to try and sign him again.

Barcelona could be the subject of a mammoth transfer offer for Kounde from Chelsea this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who write:

‘At Stamford Bridge they already considered signing him last season, while this year they could put around 100 million euros on the table for his incorporation.’
