Chelsea could receive an offer for Joao Felix from Italian giants Inter Milan in the summer according to reports from Italy.
The Blues paid £45m to sign Felix last summer from Atletico Madrid with the 25-year-old penning a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Portuguese started just three Premier League games in the first half of the campaign, and scored seven goals in all competitions.
Inter could make summer offer for Felix
Felix decided he wanted to leave Chelsea despite only joining last summer in a bid to get more regular minutes and he completed a loan move to AC Milan, which was finalised on deadline day.
The Portuguese made the perfect start to life in Italy as he scored on his debut, and he’s already expressed his desire to stay at Milan beyond the summer if possible.
It appears from Felix’s words that it would be unlikely he will play for the Blues again, and his departure has left Chelsea very short in the attacking area of the pitch.
The Blues will want Felix to do well so that he boosts his transfer value ahead of a potential summer sale, and it appears it might not just be Milan who are amongst the interested parties.
Inter Live have reported that Inter could challenge their city rivals for Felix and might make an offer to Chelsea in the summer.
It would perhaps make more sense for Chelsea to sell to AC Milan given they are believed to have interest in Rafael Leao, and they could look to do some sort of deal between the pair.
Chelsea fans were unhappy that no replacement was signed to cover the departure of Felix and there seems to be little faith in the club they will actually replace him in the summer if he ends up leaving on a permanent transfer.
