Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay ‘an important fee’ to get a new player signed in on this winter transfer deadline day 2025.
We are here folks, we have reached another transfer deadline day, and so far, what an absolute dud it has been for Chelsea. Are they sleeping? Do they seriously think that this squad does not still have gaping holes in it? Or are they just prepared to leave it all until the summer and hope for the best? Or, even worse, is there just no money left to buy players or is PSR blocking that?
EXCLUSIVE!
Sources: Chelsea plan to look at goalkeeper setup ‘from top to bottom’ this summer + new CB targets NAMED!!
There really isn’t much to report right now. We did get the ‘here we go’ last night for midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka to join Dortmund on loan until the end of this season. And left back Ben Chilwell will be taking his medical to join Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the season today as well.
Other than that, in terms of arrivals, there is absolutely ZERO on what should be one of our priorities, a new centre forward. Instead, they are trying to buy another kid from Manchester City, ignoring their own academy yet again.
Chelsea moving in on O’Reilly

The Blues want to bring in some midfield cover and apparently the answer is 19-year-old Nico O-Reilly from Manchester City, who I am sure is a hugely talented player.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea are willing to pay an important fee to sign Nico O’Reilly. They see him as a top talent, but City want a buy back clause or matching rights on the deal.
Chelsea have a bunch of ‘top talents’ in their own academy who they could use, or they could have just recalled one of the other ‘top talents’ out on loan such as Andrey Santos or Lesley Ugochukwu. Sad state of affairs at this club.
Usual poor choices from clueless sportng directors.
Also missing out on Ferguson to West Ham who could have been the perfect Jackson back-up. Three
weeks to find a striker in this window and now what>? Nothing.
Top 6 at this rate.
You have spoken the minds of so many supporters of this great football club. The people that are running the affairs of this club have a lot of problems bordering on naivety and cluelessness. May God save the club.
I wonder what type of sporting directors we have. The whole of this winter transfer window but no striker sign.
