“I’ve seen him” – Tosin names summer signing who’s “amazing” in training, it’s not Joao Pedro

Tosin Adarabioyo has heaped praise on Chelsea summer signing Jorrel Hato ahead of the Champions League clash with Ajax on Wednesday.

Chelsea will be looking to make it back to back wins in the Champions League with three points against the Dutch giants, having beaten Benfica last time out.

The Blues will be looking to build on the momentum from Saturday’s win against Nottingham Forest, and make it four wins in a row in all competitions.

Enzo Maresca will likely make changes to the starting line-up given the games are coming thick and fast at this point of the season.

Maresca faces the tough task of balancing the Premier League and the Champions League, and will need to make full use of the squad.

Joao Pedro is suspended after being sent off against Benfica, meaning Marc Guiu or Tyrique George will likely lead the line.

Hato could be in line for a start against his former club, just a few months after leaving, and this could be a good opportunity to rest Marc Cucurella.

Maresca praised Hato in his pre-match press conference, and Tosin showered praise on the Dutch international when asked how he was settling in.

“Yeah, very well. He’s working incredibly hard every single day, learning our system and getting used to the way we play and English football, we’re all very happy with Jorrel,” he said via Hayters TV.

“To be honest, I think his all-round game is top. The way I’ve seen him go forward in training is amazing. The way he’s composed and the way he brings that aggressivity into his game is something that is great to see.”

Enzo Maresca faces centre back dilemma

It will be interesting to see who Maresca goes with at centre back having started Josh Acheampong and Trevoh Chalobah against Nottingham Forest.

Acheampong was brilliant and deserves to start against Ajax, whilst Tosin also returned from injury against Forest.

Wesley Fofana will be in contention, and Maresca now faces a decision of whether to stick or twist with his centre back pairing.
