Chelsea are one of a number of clubs interested in Barcelona attacking midfielder Dro Fernandez according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The 18-year-old has a €6m release clause in his contract, whilst Chelsea are known to always be looking for young talent.
The Blues signed striker Marc Guiu from Barcelona in the summer of 2024 after activating a similar release clause in his contract.
Chelsea interested in Barcelona’s Dro Fernandez
Chelsea are believed to be looking for a centre back this month, but it’s been reported they will only move if they feel the right player is available.
However, that doesn’t mean they won’t explore other positions in regards to future talents, and it appears another youngster is on their radar in Barcelona’s Fernandez, and Jacobs has provided an update.

He took to X.com and said:
Chelsea targeting midfielder in the summer
Whilst it remains to be seen what Chelsea will do this month, the Blues will be active in the summer window without doubt.
It’s been reported Chelsea’s priority is a midfielder to take the burden off Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, and the Blues have been linked with Adam Wharton, Elliot Anderson and Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo.
Chelsea also have winger Geovany Quenda and striker Emmanuel Emegha arriving from Sporting Lisbon and Strasbourg respectively to strengthen Liam Rosenior’s squad, but the Blues certainly need more than that.
