What Chelsea fans sang to Behdad Eghbali as Blues capitulate in embarrassing fashion once again

Chelsea were beaten 2-1 by Fulham this evening in another sorry display.

Manager Enzo Maresca is gone, after being the latest coach dumped by the chaos of the BlueCo ownership. But the problems were the same – bad defending and no discipline.

Chants from the away fans were very pointed, as Cerys Jones noted on the Athletic, and aimed as Chelsea’s co-owner Behdad Eghbali, who was watching in the stands with incoming Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior.

“A ‘BlueCo Out’ flag was being held up in the away end before kick-off, but the real audible disquiet from Chelsea’s fans came in the second half,” she wrote.

“With their team trailing 1-0, the away end was consistently ringing with anti-ownership chants, and that continued after Liam Delap’s equaliser.”

Those wasn’t the only anti Clearlake/BlueCo chant in the offing.

“We don’t care about Clearlake, they don’t care about us, all we care about is Chelsea FC” and some choice directions for co-owner Behdad Eghbali, who was watching alongside Rosenior in the stands, were among those chants.”

She also noted that the fans sang former owner Roman Abramovich’s name, as they have regularly since his departure to be replaced by the new ownership.

Unfortunately for BlueCo hating Chelsea fans watching on TV, the Sky Sports cameras showed Eghbali celebrating in the stands when the Blues equalised – but didn’t give them a shot of him after the Blues conceded the winner later on.

In other news…

Chelsea had levelled the game through Liam Delap, who knocked in a loose ball after it came in on the post.

Chelsea were reduced to ten men by a red card after 22 minutes, when Marc Cucurella pulled down Harry Wilson as the last man on the edge of the box. It’s another red towards a frankly insanely bad record.
