ESPN: Liam Rosenior has inherited a dysfunctional team & may want to check if the ink is dry on his contract

ESPN have gone in with their reaction article on the Fulham vs Chelsea game in the Premier League last night.

I’ve just written an article detailing reactions from The BBC which to be honest, were not quite as gloomy looking or as harsh as ESPN’s article was.

EXCLUSIVE! The truth about the Chelsea FC project!

The BBC basically speak about the big task new Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has in reaching his minimum requirements on reaching Champions League football this season. The reality there is that Chelsea are now just 5 points away from 15th place in the Premier League, sitting in 8th spot. That is certainly a very gloomy outlook.

Chelsea lost 2-1 to Fulham last night after left back Marc Cucurella got himself sent off early in the game after making a stupid decision with one of his old school brain fart moments.

ESPN have gone in even more though, with an article written by Mark Ogden last night.

Ogden on Chelsea right now

Ogden writes:

‘Liam Rosenior might want to check if the ink is dry on his six-year contract as Chelsea head coach because he has walked into a storm at Stamford Bridge that may only just be beginning.

‘He has inherited a dysfunctional team without a reliable goalkeeper or full-back, one that is stocked with young talent rather than experience, but perhaps most alarming for Rosenior is the discord off the pitch and anger from the supporters towards co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.’

Turning on the owners

Ogden continues:

‘Disharmony is the watchword at Chelsea right now and Rosenior, through no fault of his own, is helping to fuel the bad feeling.

‘Blues fans turned on the owners with furious, expletive-laced chants demanding that they leave. They even sang the name of former owner Roman Abramovich.’

  1. Chelsea board should stop buying young inexperienced players, experienced players are what we need now, players like gittens, delay are not worth a club like Chelsea,we deserve better performing players

  2. All our attackers have failed us completely…Garnacho, Gittens, Joao Pedro,Delap, Neto and also Cole Palmer ..and these are consequences of compiling teenagers with meagre weekly wages plus 7 years contract compared to quality players like Victor Osihmen, Semanyo who will transform the club…
